The Himalayas can greet you with sun, snow, wind, and warm afternoons – sometimes all in the same day. With the right gear, you can enjoy every moment with confidence.

Essential Trekking Gear

  • Sturdy hiking boots (well broken in before you arrive)
  • Trainers for Kathmandu and travel days
  • Layered clothing system: moisture‑wicking base layers, warm mid‑layers, fleece, and a waterproof/windproof shell
  • Warm hat, gloves, and buff/scarf
  • Trekking poles for balance and joint support
  • Reusable water bottle or hydration bladder
  • Water purification tablets or filter
  • Small personal medical kit (plasters, blister care, pain relief, any personal medication)
