A key highlight awaits in Kyanjin Gompa, a peaceful village surrounded by snow-capped peaks and ancient monasteries. Here, you’ll spend an acclimatization day with optional hikes that offer unforgettable rewards. Climb Kyanjin Ri (4,773m) for sweeping views of Langtang Himal, or challenge yourself with a summit of Tsergo Ri (4,984m), where you’ll be greeted by panoramic vistas of Yala Peak (5,520m) and Dorje Lakpa (6,966m). For a gentler experience, Langshisa Kharka offers a tranquil walk through yak pastures and glacial valleys. These hikes not only deepen your connection to the mountains but also prepare your body for the higher elevations ahead.
From Kyanjin, the trail shifts toward the sacred realm of Gosaikunda. After passing through Thulo Syabru and Cholangpati, you’ll cross the exhilarating Lauribina Pass (4,610m), where the horizon opens to reveal the Annapurna range in the west and the Tibetan plateau to the north. Descending into the Gosaikunda basin, you’ll encounter a cluster of shimmering alpine lakes steeped in legend, believed to be created by Lord Shiva himself.

Highlights
Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1355m)
Upon arrival at Kathmandu International Airport our staff will greet you and escort you to your hotel in Kathmandu. Depending upon your arrival time you may spend free time visiting nearby cultural sites, shopping or simply resting at the hotel. If you’re up for a short walk, the bustling streets of Thamel or a nearby stupa offer a gentle introduction to the city’s vibrant atmosphere. Overnight 3* hotel. Driving 1 hour.
Day 2: Trek preparations in Kathmandu
Today we’ll finalize your trek preparations and complete the necessary permits. You’ll have the day to rest and adjust to Kathmandu’s time zone. If you’re feeling up to it, explore the city’s cultural sites, browse local shops, or take care of any last-minute gear needs. In the early evening, you’ll meet your guide for a detailed trek briefing. Overnight 3* hotel.
Day 3: Kathmandu (1,400m) to Syabrubesi (1,520m)
A scenic drive by private vehicle, north from Kathmandu, winds through terraced hillsides and river valleys, gradually revealing the grandeur of the Himalayas. Along the way, enjoy sweeping views of Annapurna (8,091m), Manaslu (8,163m), Ganesh Himal (7,422m), and the distant Langtang range. Arriving in Syabrubesi, you’ll be welcomed by the rich Tamang culture, nestled beneath the Langtang Himal. Overnight Tea House. Driving 7-9 hours.
Day 4: Syabrubesi to Lama Hotel (Changtang) (2,460m)
From Syabrubesi we start our trek, the trail crosses a suspension bridge over the Bhote Khosi river, climbing through the village of Thulo Syabru. We then walk along the banks of the Langtang river. A stop at Guru Rinpoche Gompa, a small monastery, offers a spiritual blessing for the journey ahead. We then ascend through lush forests of oak, rhododendron, and bamboo. After a few hours of uphill walking, you will arrive at Changtang, better known as Lama Hotel, a small village surrounded by trees. Overnight Tea House. Trekking: 5–6 hours.
Day 5: Lama Hotel to Langtang Village (3,430m)
We again follow the Langtang River through dense woodland and open glades. Pass through Rimche and Gumna Chowk, with chances to spot grazing yaks and Himalayan wildlife. We stop at Ghodatabela (2,970m) for lunch and permit checks. The trail opens into alpine terrain as you reach Langtang Village, tragically destroyed in the 2015 earthquake, Lantang has been lovingly rebuilt and stands as a symbol of resilience. The Langtang Lirung Glacier looms above, feeding the river below. Overnight Tea House. Trekking: 5–6 hours.
Day 6: Langtang Village (3,450m) to Kyanjin Gompa (3,870m)
Ascend gently through Mundu and Sindum, passing chortens, mani walls, and fluttering prayer flags as you enter the spiritual heart of the valley. The landscape transforms into alpine meadows framed by towering peaks. Kyanjin Gompa, a centuries-old monastery, sits beneath Langtang Lirung (7,227m) and offers insight into Himalayan Buddhism. Nearby, the Kyanjin Cheese Factory, established with Swiss support, produces yak cheese using traditional methods. Overnight Tea House. Trekking: 3–4 hours.

Day 8: Kyanjin Gompa to Lama Hotel (2,480m)
Descend through alpine meadows and forests of pine and rhododendron, retracing your steps with fresh eyes. The Langtang River guides your way, and the descent reveals cascading waterfalls and tranquil river crossings. The crisp mountain air and tranquil woodland setting create a soothing rhythm to the day’s walk. By late afternoon, you’ll arrive at Lama Hotel, a peaceful riverside hamlet tucked beneath the trees. Day 9: Lama Hotel to Thulo Syabru (2,260m)
Today’s trek follows the gentle course of the Langtang Khola. After crossing a suspension bridge, the path descends steadily through terraced fields and scattered hamlets. The final approach to Thulo Syabru involves a moderate climb, rewarded by arrival in a picturesque Tamang village perched on a scenic ridge. From here, enjoy sweeping views of Ganesh Himal and the Langtang range. Overnight Tea House. Trekking: 5–6 hours.
Day 10: Thulo Syabru to Sing Gompa (3,250m)
Today’s trek begins with a steady ascent through lush forests of pine, oak, and rhododendron. As you climb higher, the air grows cooler and crisper, and the dense canopy gradually gives way to open ridgelines with sweeping views of the Ganesh Himal (7,422m) and Langtang Lirung (7,227m). As you approach Chandanbari, also known as Sing Gompa, the forest thins and the landscape opens to reveal a tranquil monastery nestled among the trees. The area is steeped in Tamang and Tibetan Buddhist culture, and prayer flags flutter gently in the breeze. Overnight Tea House. Trekking: 5–6 hours.
Day 11: Sing Gompa to Gosaikunda Lake (4,360m)
Today’s trek ascends steadily into the high alpine zone, where the landscape opens to sweeping ridgelines and dramatic mountain vistas. As you climb, the rugged terrain reveals a series of sacred lakes these include Saraswati Kunda and Bhairav Kunda. The final stretch leads to the shimmering Gosaikunda Lake, The lake’s turquoise waters reflect the surrounding Himalayan peaks and spiritual energy, this is one of Nepal’s most revered pilgrimage sites. The trail itself offers breathtaking views of Langtang Lirung (7,227m) and distant glimpses of Manaslu (8,163m) and Ganesh Himal (7,422m). Overnight Tea House. Trekking: 5–6 hours.
Day 12: Gosaikunda to Ghopte (3,435m) via Lauribina Pass (4,610m)
Begin the day with a peaceful sunrise walk around the sacred lakes of Gosaikunda. The trail then climbs toward the dramatic Lauribina Pass, the highest point of the trek, offering panoramic views of the Langtang Himal, Manaslu (8,163m), and Annapurna (8,091m) ranges stretching across the horizon. From the pass, descend into a quieter, more rugged section of the trail. This remote corridor is rich in biodiversity and rarely travelled. The path winds gently toward Ghopte, a secluded settlement tucked into the folds of the forest, surrounded by the Langtang Himalaya. Overnight Tea House. Trekking 7–8 hours.
Day 13: Ghopte to Kutumsang (2,470m)
The day begins with a steady ascent to Thadepati (3,690m), a high ridge offering expansive views of the surrounding valleys and distant Himalayan peaks. From Thadepati, the trail drops gradually through lush forests of Himalayan bamboo, oak, and vibrant rhododendron. As you approach Kutumsang, the landscape opens to reveal glimpses of distant peaks and rolling green hills. The village sits on a scenic ridge and offers a peaceful atmosphere. Overnight Tea House. Trekking 6–7 hours.
Day 14: Kutumsang to Chisopani (2,160m)
Today’s trek begins with a gentle descent, then, the trail climbs gradually through terraced fields and scattered settlements, eventually reaching Chisopani, a scenic ridge-top village known for its sweeping views of the Jugal Himal, Langtang, and Ganesh Himal ranges. As you walk, the landscape transitions from cultivated hillsides to dense woodland, and Chisopani offers a peaceful setting for reflection, with a panoramic Himalayan backdrop. As this is your final night in the mountains, it’s a perfect time to celebrate your journey with your trekking team, celebrating the adventure you’ve completed together. Overnight Tea House. Day 15: Chisopani to Kathmandu (1,350m)
Your final day on the trail begins with a gentle descent through the lush rhododendron forests of Shivapuri–Nagarjun National Park. From Sundarijal, a short drive returns you to the vibrant streets of Kathmandu. The rest of the day is free for local sightseeing, or simply relaxing. In the evening, we invite you as our guest to enjoy a traditional Nepali farewell dinner together with our team in Kathmandu. Day 16: Departure from Kathmandu
Depending on your flight schedule, you may have time for a final stroll through the city or a short visit to a nearby temple. Our staff will escort you to the airport for your onward journey.
